We're very pleased to let you know that Black Across The Field will be released across the Benelux on October 4th through boutique Netherlands-based label Smoked Recordings. Lucie will be touring Europe for a couple of months from mid September - and lots of these tour dates and details are up on the shows page now - with more coming soon.
In other news, there are a couple of new clips out there on the internets - courtesy of ABC South East - one of Lucie recording the draft of a new song, 'Falling', with Hamish Stuart, in her home studio at Bimbaya back in June, and a version of 'Over In Threes' live from the Candelo Town Hall later that same day.

Just a few Aussie shows left till the summertime folks - including this Thursday 22nd July at NOTES LIVE in Sydney, and Thursday 19th August at The NORTHCOTE SOCIAL CLUB in Melbourne. More info here...

Lucie will be heading back to Europe later in the year - and the first round of these tour dates have just been announced, with details and more shows - in Italy, France, Germany and The Netherlands - to be announced soon.

Two very special shows coming up this weekend - back in the beautiful Bega Valley, in duet with the one n only Hamish Stuart - Friday 4th June at The Candelo Town Hall, and Saturday 5th June at The Murrah Hall. These have gotta be two of the sweetest little concert halls in the country x And it's Dr Stuart's debut appearance at both - so come on out and bring yr friends.
We've also just listed a whole bunch of details for late June/July tour dates on the shows page - with dates in Vic, Qld, NSW and ACT...

This week Universal are releasing a 2CD compiliation, 'Chillseeker', which includes Lucie's When The Lights Go Down from Black Across The Field. Other artists on the compilation include Radiohead, Leonard Cohen, Joan As Policewoman, Ray LaMontagne, Nick Drake, Neko Case, Jeff Buckley, Regina Spektor, Florence + The Machine, Sia, and many more...!
'Chillseeker' will be available in stores and online from March 26th.

More good news from LTHQ: it has just been announced that Black Across The Field is one of nine albums Short Listed for the 2009 Australian Music Prize, alongside Kid Sam, Sarah Blasko, Black Cab, Lisa Mitchell, Oh Mercy, Urthboy, Bertie Blackman and The Mess Hall. The AMP awards are announced in March...

It sure has been a big ol' year out here at LTHQ - and to cap it off, we're very pleased to let you know that Black Across The Field has been named "Best Roots Album of 2009" in The Sydney Morning Herald, and has also made the cut in other 'Best Albums' lists in Rhythms Magazine, and Melbourne's Herald Sun. There's just one more show for the year - tomorrow night, at The Basement in Sydney, with Mr Tim Freedman, and then its off to that fine southern Isle of Tas in the new year. The European tour has come to an end (with a beautiful last-show-of-th-tour, to another packed house, in Totnes - thanks folks x). Lucie will be back playing in Australia at the end of the month; including three performances at The Mullum Music Fest, and a handful of other shows in Queensland and Northern NSW - details here.
In the meantime - Radio National will be airing an hour-long feature concert by Lucie and the band (recorded in September) this weekend on Music Deli: Friday 13th Nov at 8pm, and then again on Sunday afternoon (Nov 15th) at 4pm. tune in!
And in other news, compilation album HOME GROWN ROOTS volume 4 is out now, and includes Lucie's 'As You Find It', from Black Across The Field. This double CD features a whole host of great local music (including Paul Kelly, Ross Wilson, Jeff Lang...) and can be bought online here.
